Brother fax/printer 1840c

Asked by Cindy Leader

I have a Brother fax Printer model 1840c and have done everything that the drivers told me to do but I still cannot get my fax/printer to print. My Printer icon in the printer configuration shows a big heart so I am assuming that, that is good. So my question is what am I doing wrong? I have done all that was emailed to me and it says that it has completed the print job but it doesn't print what should I do?

Do you know if you have "Cups" installed? (Common UNIX Printing System) Search for it in Synaptics by going up to the top taskbar and click on

System - Administration - Synaptic Package Manager is near the end of the sub0menu

If it's not installed then install it. Also this page may help, its a page on your machine, not on the internet but we all have our own one

Good luck with this, hope it helps
