Hi,

Please try this procedure:

1. Open a Linux terminal and enter the following command:

sudo aa-complain cupsd

2. Connect the printer to the pc. Turn on the printer. Refuse any automatic installation of the driver, if possible.

3. Go to Canon's website : http://support-asia.canon-asia.com/
Select "Inkjets printers"
Product Series "Pixma"
Product Model: "iP2680".
Download following 2 drivers:
- IJ Printer Driver Ver. 2.90 for Linux (debian Common package)
- IJ Printer Driver Ver. 2.90 for Linux (debian Package for iP2600 series)

Get them here

http://support-asia.canon-asia.com/contents/ASIA/EN/0100119102.html (look at bottom of that page)

and here

http://support-asia.canon-asia.com/contents/ASIA/EN/0100118902.html (look at bottom of that page)

Also get the Operating manual for the same printer from the same website - when choosing "type of document": choose 'product and software manuals' instead of 'drivers'.
- IJ Printer Driver Ver. 2.90 for Linux (Operation guide [Explanation of the iP2600series operation (html file)] )

4.First install IJ Printer Driver Ver. 2.90 for Linux (debian Common package)
After that, install IJ Printer Driver Ver. 2.90 for Linux (debian Package for iP2600 series)

5. Open a Linux terminal and enter the following command:

sudo /etc/init.d/cupsys restart

6. reboot pc and test printer

Regards,

Mark

Sorry, but in my case it does not work with this drivers.

Can you help with this problem?
