printer won't work in 8.1

 Hi Guys, another problem with my upgrade to 8.1, I run a canon pixma mp160 printer, using ubuntu 8.04 it worked perfectly but since the upgrade it can see the computer but doesn't print, I've tried using the system printer configuration, which is what I used on 8.04 but to no avail. Can anyone help with this please.
