installing epson print driver

Asked by Nellieboy

Hi, I'm having problems trying to install an epson xp-202. Firstly, not sure which driver download i need for Ubuntu 14 - is is .gz, .rpm or .deb?
I've tried with rpm but test page just shows printer as idle.
At some point in the installation it said i need to use apt-get install lsb but this didn't install anything, just want to next terminal line (I'm sure you've gathered I'm no linux expert!)
Is there a simple step by step approach?

Many thanks

Thanks, I'll try that. However on the Epson download page it says [Notice]
In order to install these drivers, you need to install LSB package (version 3.2 or later) beforehand.

Ubunbu:
# apt-get install lsb

Do i need to do this and if so, how, as it didn't seem to work when I tried yesterday

To check whether you have the lsb package already installed, please execute the terminal command

dpkg -l | grep lsb

If you do not get any output and no error message, then you do not have the package installed, and you can install it with the command

sudo apt-get install lsb

Please copy/paste all output into this question document that we can see and cap provide further help if necessary.
