OKI printer error: Filter Failed

Many PDFs (maybe all) sent to the OKI 331dn over the LAN return the following error: Filter Failed.

Looking around I see bugs mentioning an HP issue, but this is not an HP, it's an OKI.
Never see this issue from the Windows boxes on the LAN, just the Xubuntu.

Using the OKI factory PPD file, on 64bit Xubuntu 14.04
Was working properly for several months, I'm guessing something 'updated'.

Any suggestions?
