Driver for Canon MP390 not installing

Asked by G Santos

Hello,

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS, and trying to add a Canon MultiPass MP390 printer. Using printer module to "add", it recognizes the printer model correctly (and has 604LYT besides it), and is connected via USB.

However, past this point, it searches for the driver and attempts to install it. In the end, I get an error "not install. check /var/log/jockey.log".

This log file is filled with a bunch of technical stuff, which I couldn't even attempt to read properly past line 1.

Anyone had similar issues with this printer? Any tricks to get it installed (as it is auto recognized)?

/gs

Did you try the Canon Europe website for drivers?
