Adding a wireless printer in ubuntu 12.1

I have a Lexmark 4600 wireless printer and would like to add it. However being new to Ubuntu I can npt figure out how to do so. I have a disk that came with the printer but it will not load for some reason.

The disk is of no value to you. It has WIndows drivers on it.

Can you ping the printer's IP?

in a terminal. You will need to find the IP of the printer. You can then run:

ping ip.of.the.printer

When I try to ip the printer it says unknown

I type ping printer in terminal and got this number
66.152.109.107

The IP should be in the same same subnet of your wireless. Probably 192.168.0.X
