There is no driveron the Epson site and even avasys doesn't seem to like it either:

Neither does the openprinting foundation:

Just wanted to mention that starting with Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr the Epson AcuLaser M1400 is supported by default. Ricks driver "foo2hbpl" is included in version "2014-02-09" (package "printer-driver-foo2zjs" which is installed by default).

I've tried it today and it works like a charm! Just plug and play!
