Driver for Canon ImageClass MF8030Cn

Asked by Sriram Chadalavada

Our company network is a windows based network and the network printer is ImageClass MF8030Cn. I have installed Ubuntu 12.04 and the printer tool can locate the network printer but there are no drivers in the database either. Is this supported??

Have you checked the Canon UK site, they have deb files for some of their printers.

Not sure it works but try...

There is the ubuntu 10.04 driver
http://www.canon.co.uk/Support/Consumer_Products/products/Fax__Multifunctionals/Laser/LaserBase_MF_series/i-SENSYS_MF8030Cn.aspx?type=download&page=1

Or install alien to convert the rpm package to deb and try to install...

For Canon it is also valid this https://launchpad.net/~michael-gruz/+archive/canon

Also directly contact Canon to ask them...

Can you help with this problem?
