I plugged my hp printer and it installed it self. And, didn't you go to serch for drivers in your system settings? Or, did you have the disc?

madhuvt (madhuvt) said : #10

HP Printer drivers are in HPLIP. But scaner drivers are not available in it.

madhuvt (madhuvt) said : #11

I ve the driver disc with windows driver. Linux driver is not available in it.

In a quick Google search I did not find an exact match, but:
http://skull.piratehaven.org/~mike/sane/avision.html and http://www.sane-project.org provide information and software for HP ScanJet 7490c and ScanJet 7650.
It should be worth trying of one of the related packages also works for the Scanjet 7500 scanner.
