canon ir3225 appears to print but only shows error on the printer

installed latest version of ubuntu on a windows 7 machine (dual boot)

installed canon ir3225 mfp driver. However even though the install was succesful nothing gets printed

The MFP shows error without any discernable error message

THIS IS A SHOW STOPPER. Please help

Where did you get the driver from?

Can you give the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a

sorry i forgot i got the driver from canon europe
had tried the driver and instruction from the singapore site without success

sorry read the post but dont quite understand

the versions listed were for an older variant of printer and ubuntu is still relevant for our use??
