Help ! I can't use my new Epson Aculaser M1200 printer on linux ! ..at least properly.
I made a mistake and bought an incompatible printer , is there any way i could use my printer on linux.
I tried a workaround with the epson epl-6200? ppd but it has many problems on printing dont know why.
Help , i dont like windows but i will be forced to return to windows i dont see any other option.

Can you give the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; lsusb

I'm guessing it's a USB printer, you never specified...

Its a usb printer but it has a parallel connection too !
So do you think it maybe better supported via parallel port ? Do you think ?
The strange is that my printer has different reaction on ubuntu and different on gnome shell 3 !
Its so strange.

I'd go USB bug can't hurt to try the other connector. Delete the printer first, then setup again. Can you give the output of the command I gave please :)
