MP630 Canon problem

I have used a repository to update my canon printer and got it on line and functioning. However, the printer only prints gibberish. In addition, the scanner is not working and will not scan to print or a PDF file. Please help.

which online repository did it you get it from?
obviously the driver is garbage.
google "canon asia" or "canon europe". one of these sites will have a linux driver for your printer.
