Brother DCP 195 remote Print "No Pages found"

Hi all,

iam a bit struggling using my Brother DCP 195 remotely. Environment: Ubuntu 10.04 LTE with Cups 1.4.3 and the Brother DCP 195 Drivers from the Brother HP.

The testpage by cups can be printed and looks fine, but when i try to use the printer via avahi (service file was generated by airprint-generate.py) the cups/error_log shows "No pages found!" . No more errors around.
Permissions are Allow all.
Common Issues (by google) like a2ps have been tried but no success.

do i missed anything - thanks for help

How did you install the printer and/or driver?

Hi

downloaded the drivers from brother to fs and installed with dpkg -i --force-architecture dccupsdwrapper.deb
currently running an Atom D510 X64.

So you didn't grab the driver debs from the Brother site?

Can you give the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a

sorry for this misunderstood -- i grabbed the driver from Brother Homepage

last action: purged cups and printer driver and reinstalled - still got the error.

just modify

if $# -ge 7 then
cp $6 $INPUT_TEMP_PS

TO
if $# -ge 6 then
cp $6 $INPUT_TEMP_PS

in /usr/lib/cups/filter/brldpwraooerdcp195c
