What exactly did you download? The DEB packages here?

If so, you can either use gdebi, and just click them (but there is a "dependency" sequence to them, so some have to be installed first).

OR

you can move them into your home folder eg /home/jake/ , then open the terminal application and run

sudo dpkg -i *deb

to install the deb files using the dpkg installer.

Yes, I downloaded from the DEB package at that site. I attempted to run the Install.sh file in the terminal mode. However, it could not find the printer on the Network host. I am not sure how to make it find it - as I do not know how to determine location.

Hi,

I cannot get my canon Pixma mp280 to work. I tried these fixes but I cant get the printer to respond to a print task. The computer recognises the printer and I actually printed with this setup before when i first installed ubuntu (12.04) but for some reason it doesnt work anymore.

I must be doing something wrong maybe you can help me?
