HP Printer not printing after installing Ub 11.04

The HP printers 1020 and 1005P are not working after installing Ubuntu 11.04.

lsb_release -a; dpkg -l | grep hplip

Have down loaded the latest version of HPLIP.
The installation was aborted with the following message:-

INSTALL MISSING REQUIRED DEPENDENCIES
-------------------------------------
warning: There are 6 missing REQUIRED dependencies.
note: Installation of dependencies requires an active internet connection.
warning: Missing REQUIRED dependency: python-devel (Python devel - Python development files)
warning: This installer cannot install 'python-devel' for your distro/OS and/or version.

Try installing the "python-dev" package. e.g.:

sudo apt-get install python-dev

Now the next problem:-

HPLIP is a strange creature, it needs satisfying but then it's great. HP love Linux and make amazing drivers :)

Help me with thiss error after i installed all the missing REQUIRED dependencies.
Using
