HP Deskjet 4500 Wireless issue

Asked by Daire Conley

I'm using an HP Deskjet 4500 and it works when plugged into the USB port on the Laptop; however, in wireless mode the Laptop is not recognizing it as a printer. I installed the HP Toolbox in the Ubuntu Software Center and it says there's an error, yet the printer works when plugged into the USB port.

I clicked on "start printer" and attempted to print. The dialog box pops up and says "print job completed" yet the printer doesn't actually do anything. I've used this printer in Windows and had no issues with the wireless feature.

Delete the USB printer and then lick to add a new printer, select a network printer and type the IP in the box and click probe, it should find it
