difficulty installng Brother Scanner-Printer MFC-665WC
HI, I'm new to Ubuntu and I can't get my Brother Scanner-Printer MFC-665WC to work. I have installed Simple Scan and XSane Image Scanner, but neither sees the scanner. The printer does seems to be recognized when I plug it in. However I can't understand how to install the driver that Brother gives me. Could someone walk me through the steps and help me out? I would really appreciate it. Below is the email that I got from Brother giving me instructions to install the driver. The compressed driver file is called linux-brprinter
Instructions from Brother Customer Service
