brother dcp 350 c

Asked by Christophe NAUD

cannot find the right driver for the brother dcp 350 c. The canon Lide 25 will not connect either.
I am thinking of going back to Windows XP.
Thanks in advance for all help, if these drivers problems can truly be fixed.....

Will install the driver. Brother make Linux drivers, did you not check their site for support....

?

If you run:

scanimage -L

does it see the scanner?

Thanks for all help and trouble. But it still will not work. I must say I am new to Ubuntu. I am sure i have downloaded the drivers, but for some reason it just does not install. The archive manager does not help and I often get a message about a missing asterik in column 1 (whaterver this means...)
I am running Ubuntu 11.4.
I have tried installing an older version of Ubuntu (7) but this particular one takes ages to install.....
I am thinking about going back to XP or ... buying a new printer which Ubuntu will immediately recognize and take on board.
Anyway, I have tried so many times .... till I was blue in the face, really.

Why are you running an ALPHA OS which is full of feature holes and numerous bugs. You should use Maverick or Lucid which have significantly less issues as they are actually fully coded. what possessed you to think a half coded release was a good choice?

The text i gave is the EXACT code you need, why do you think i took the time to make it for you? Literally all you had to do was copy and paste the text into a terminal and press enter.

 Dear actionparsnip,
I have now two options: Leave things as they are or try to find help somewhere else.
In any case, you can rest assured I will not bother you any longer. Good day.

Hopefully others with the same issue will find this and find my guide and find the command I gave to get the same printer working.

Can you help with this problem?
