My computer was connected to the printer but the connection has been lost despite trying to reconnect. (the connection came via the interne but is now lost altogether).

Asked by Jethro Dykes

My computer was connected, like the other computers in the office to a printer via the internet. The connection was lost for all the computers but when it was recovered for them, it never came back for my computer. This was despite using a different cable to attach computer to printer. I spoke to Hewlett Packard and they said, nothing could be done because they had no experience with Ubuntu. I have tried configuring the printer with this computer but nothing seems to work.

Hi Jethro Dykes,

Since you haven't specify any details (besides that it is an HP printer) I cannot guide you for solving your problem. However you might want to take a look to the following link to see if it helps you
