Installation problem for canon LBP2900-B

Canon LBP 2900-B printer is not installing and working on Ubuntu (any version). Is it possible to make it functional on Ubuntu? since, I am get tired of Windows.

Canon make the driver, did you not check their site for support!??

obviously not. windoze users are spoiled/spoon fed by having drivers available on a cd with the printer when they purchase it.

you can download the driver from the following link. please download and install to make your printer work.
