hewlett packard provides linux support for their printers.

the logitech quickcam communicate deluxe doesn't work on certain usb ports, so you might want to stay away from those.

you can check the following site to see which webcams might work on linux. but be warned, i have a couple of cams that are listed, but they don't work in linux.

What is the printer make / model you are trying to install. You never said. Can you also give the output of:

lsusb

Thanks

As marcus said, HP support Linux fully and the driver pack they make is part of a standard install so will require zero config.

Can you help with this problem?
