Installing Xerox phaser 3140

I failed to install Phaser 3140 xerox printer
First I tried to download the driver from Xerox website, then I extracted the file and when I click on installation i did not start at all.

I tried to use the CDs that come with the printer but it did not work at all (one have the installation guide PDF files in different languages and the other one did not work at all

Kindly help how to install it in Ubuntu 10.2

The CD contains Windows drivers. Ubuntu isn't Windows, it's a distribution of Linux.

Xerox do make printer drivers. You can download the file there and install the debs or whatever the method is :)

I did installed the driver but I can not install it

Can you give the error you get rather than saying "there's an error message". It helps us a lot....
