I cannot download disk on wizard

I bought a canon pixma mp250 series. I have tried to download the disk, but unable to due to the firewall. I cannot figure out how to do this so i can use the download wizard. any suggestions??????????

Which "wizard" are you referring to? Which disk are you downloading? What are you trying to do, install the printer?

I spotted an error in the scanner installation (this is more complex than the normal installation) instructions. Their software has converted the "--" symbols into a single dash:

./configure –prefix=/usr –sysconfdir=/etc –localstatedir=/var

should be

./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var
