Lexmark (and Canon) printer drivers are poor at best.

No suitable Lexmark (or Canon) driver available for Lexmark X1290. Any idea what alternative to use or (better) where to download?

Give this a try.

http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/print_drivers/en/ug.pdf

it says you have to have 70mb available to install a lexmark driver. that's quite excessive.

Marcus

Thnx, gave it a try .... however no joy!

Problem seems to be Lexmark ... obvious not willing to provide addequate support to the Linux/Ubuntu community ....
