still can't install printer cd's driver and downloads

This is what I get when I try to install from a cd or a download it is the same no matter what just the media name is changed:

 Archive: /media/Epson/Epsetup.exe

  End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
  a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
  latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
  the last disk(s) of this archive.
zipinfo: cannot find zipfile directory in one of /media/Epson/Epsetup.exe or
          /media/Epson/Epsetup.exe.zip, and cannot find /media/Epson/Epsetup.exe.ZIP, period.

Hi Keith,

EXE is the common file name extension denoting an executable file (a program) in the DOS, OpenVMS, Microsoft Windows, Symbian, and OS/2 operating systems.

Soo.. if you stil want to run this file you need to install WINE which allows you to run many Windows programs on Linux. Its homepage can be found at http://www.winehq.org/

Since the file name is EPSON I am assuming you wish to install a Epson printer ? You will find new Linux printer drivers that support the LSB (Linux Standard Base)drivers for most epson printer models here: http://avasys.jp/eng/linux_driver/

Please look for your printer model and follow instructions.

I have already installed wine and i still get the same error message. I'm at a loss.

You are using the Wndows driver CD there. Ubuntu is not windows, it is Linux so the CD is of zero value to you.

What is the FULL model name of the printer and we can see if there is a linux driver for your linux system.
