will my lexmark x5470 work with xubuntu

i am a new linux user and had been told some printers don't work with these systems can i use my lexmark x5470 with any xubuntu systems

I suggest you sell it and buy a more compatible printer. This is entirely Lexmark's fault. HP fully support Linux. Lexmark flat refuse to support Linux and only just support Mac.

Lexmark now provides LIMITED support for Linux users at http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=content&id=OS4&locale=EN&userlocale=EN_US - but I don't see the X5470 listed. Sorry.
