Download this driver:

http://www.downloaddelivery.com/downloads/cpd/lexmark-08z-series-driver-1.0-1.i386.deb.sh.tar.gz

Extract it, make the shell-script executable and run it as root. According to Lexmark the package is tailored to Ubuntu.

This driver is only for printing, copy or scanning is afaik not possible with it.

did you run "system-config-printer" command to see what will happen? and wait a few seconds to see whether or not Ubuntu will recognize the printer and download the driver automatically.

Using a Z2300 printer and have downloaded and installed the CUPS printer. The printer will not printer, even though I go through the printer dialog. What do you think the problem might be?
Thanks, Cecil
