Have a look at http://www.openprinting.org/printers/ to see if printer is supported by Linux.
Unfortunately, Lexmark seems to be the less supported brand, as they provide neither Linux driver nor technical specification which will allow Ubuntu geek to write driver.
I presume the CD contains only Windows driver.

For Linux, Hewlett Packard seems to be the best choice.

There are Linux/Unix drivers available for download in the Lexmark website. Just click go to this link: http://bit.ly/c7oksY. Click on the Linux/Unix dropdown to choose the version of your Linux operating system. Hope this helps.

Can you help with this problem?
