Cups won't start

Asked by guidemeintheeyesofblindness@yahoo.com

I'm running Ubuntu 8.10. When I start my computer Cups printer program won't start.

I have to start it manually through a terminal with : sudo /etc/init.d/cups restart

how do I make cups start automatically?

I have the same problem, cups does not start at boot time I must to start it with sudo service cups start from console. Even tried adding "cups service start" on rc.local but neither worked. It does not happen after clean install, but after a few days cups does not start any longer.

Can you help with this problem?
