Cryptkeeper is not working in Ubuntu 12.04

Asked by Asoka Dissanayake

Would like to get Cryptkeeper to work in Ubuntu 12.04. If there is a workaround to get it to work, that will be very useful for many users.

As somebody had suggested in the Ubuntu Software Centre, ran the following command:

                                   gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist "['all]"

The following results were produced:

[sudo] password for xxxx:
1-6:unterminated string constant

When the command was typed without "['all]", the following results were produced:

xxxx@xxxx-desktop:~$ sudo gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist
Usage:
gsettings [--schemadir SCHEMADIR] set SCHEMA[:PATH] KEY VALUE

Set the value of KEY to VALUE

Arguments:
SCHEMADIR A directory to search for additional schemas
SCHEMA The name of the schema
PATH The path, for relocatable schemas
KEY The key within the schema
  VALUE The value to set

Will keep informed of any new findings.

Don't really know much about that but just looking at the command it doesn't look right. I think "['all]" should be replaced with "['all']" (read it carefully and you'll notice the difference).

Did it work? Also yeah, the terminal is quite hard to get used to.

Can you help with this problem?
