using cryptkeeper on ubuntu 10.10

Asked by shailendra singh

I had installed crypt keeper last month. And i had put some folders inside the encrypted folder (created using crypt keeper).
Just last week i had formatted ubuntu 10.10 and reinstalled it again . Now I am not able to access that encrypted folder. I really need those files.Kindly suggest me solutions.

you haven't mentioned whether your encrypted folder is in a dedicated partition or not. if it is on a dedicated partition, you can install cryptkeeper again and access the folder by mounting it using the cryptkeeper software. if it is on the same drive thatt you have formatted to reinstall ubuntu, then sorry.....you could have lost your data. you should have taken back up of that complete folder atleast.

then simply mount the folder using cryptkeepr by selecting the "import
encfs folder" option.

Can you help with this problem?
