Mixing Debian debs in Ubuntu is not advised or supported.

If you search the launchpad PPAs you would have found:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:vincent-c/ppa; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install crawl

That is crawl built for Ubuntu.

Keep debian debs off your system, you will most likely break your OS as they will have different dependencies which aren't available in Ubuntu and you will have a half ubuntu half debain OS mess.
