libcpp-netlib-dev requires boost-dev54

Asked by ian.bilek@gmail.com

Hi,

libcpp-netlib-dev is dependant on boost-dev54, while it won't install on boost-dev55. As libcpp-netlib-dev contains just compilation headers and no runtime binaries there is no problem compiling with libcpp-netlib-dev on boost-55.

Would it be possible to improve package dependency to get around it? We have boost-55 in production and downgrading to boost-54 would cause us some headaches as well as re-packaging.

Thank you,
Jan

What Ubuntu release are you running? How did you install boost-55 if boost-54 apparently is the version in the standard repositories?

What is the output of the commands

uname -a
lsb_release -crid
dpkg -l | grep libboost1.5
apt-cache showpkg libcppnetlib-dev libboost-system-dev

Can you help with this problem?
