Courier Mail /var/run/courier ownership problem

Courier mail doesn't work unless I "chown -R daemon:daemon /var/run/courier" every time I start up my machine. How do I resolve this problem?

add the command in /etc/rc.local above the exit 0 line, this will resolve it in a hacky way. I suggest you log a bug too
