How do i run different instances of conky on different virtual desktops from e17?

Hi Guys

How do i run different instances of conky on different virtual desktops from e17?

I have seen a couple of places which suggest using wmctrl, but when i try to use that i get the following error.

XXXXX@XXXXXXXX:~$ wmctrl -d
Cannot get number of desktops properties. (_NET_NUMBER_OF_DESKTOPS or _WIN_WORKSPACE_COUNT)

I believe that error occurs because i am running elightenment.

Any ideas?

Hiding your username and hostname does nothing to protect you. You may be able to use the DISPLAY variable (I assume you have multiple X servers)
