If you report a bug and the bug and security fixes are significant then the package may be updated.

You may also find a PPA

I don't know of any big bugs except that this new version of Concordance can program the new logitech universal remotes, witch is very exciting. congruity 16 is the gui for Concordance 1.0.

I tried compiling from source myself, but got problems doing so.
Searched and searched and searched for compiled deb files or ppa, but no luck.

From http://www.phildev.net/harmony/news.shtml, 04/16/13 Concordance 1.0 released!
We are extremely excited to announce the release of Concordance 1.0! This release adds support for a slew of new remotes including the 200, 300, 890, 895, 900, 1000, 1100, and Harmony One! It also fixes/improves support for the 688 and 785 improves our udev support. And of course, there are several bugfixes. All users are highly encouraged to upgrade!

I think a lot of people would be extremely happy to see these packages updated for ubuntu 12.04 and up.

Then report the bug. If that is the only gain then I doubt it will be rushed to the repos. You could also compile it yourself.

Can you help with this problem?
