Unable to apply COMPIZ FUSION

I've installed compiz in UBUNTU from add or remove software option. But when I try to apply the desktop effect form change desktop background ,it shows that "unable to apply extra effect".What should to be done?

Have you installed CCSM correctly?

Please paste the output of

dpkg --get-selections | grep compizconfig-settings-manager

here
