Played with settings and lost desktop menus

Tried to install compiz config and my lunch menu and all other menus are lost. it is 11.04
I cannot even see the lunch bar to get to system settings. Please help

Switch to tty (virtual console text mode only): ctrl+alt+f1
Login with username and passwd.
Type:
unity --reset

Switch back to desktop: ctrl+alt+f7
or reboot from tty:
sudo reboot
