Why is compiz so dead?

Compiz has more than 1000 reported bugs here...last changelogs have 2 or 3 lines only.

This great software getting more and more defect over the last years, it was such a great windowmanager some years ago - and today? So many bugs and problems......whats going on here?

Canonical, please please please give Compiz much more attention!
