tablet rotation is slow and windows leave ghostes

I have a Toshiba R15 tablet PC that runs Ubuntu and has the tablet stuff set up.
When I rotate the screen it starts to lag and the windows leave ghost images behind.
How do I fix this?

CPU - Intel Pentium M 1.7 GHz
RAM - 1GB
Graphics - Intel Corporation 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device
OS - Ubuntu 8.04 (hardy)

Ubuntu works fine the problem hapens after I rotate the screen to tablet mode.

Hello, i think you Graphics card doesn't support a heavy effect like cube desktop ....

Maybe you should turn off your cube desktop effect ...
