maximum/minimumbutton missing

i using firefox 3 in ubuntu, in right coner maximum/minimum button is missing ,opening tabs where missing in bottom .

Do you see the window titlebar at all?
Right-click on that bar, do you see the options minimize/maximize/close?

Are you sure it's not the theme's fault? Are you using the default ubuntu theme in System > Preferences > Appearance > Themes > Select "Human" theme.

 in the window titlebar. i saw file,edit,view,history.bookmark,tools,help.when i right-click it shows navigation tool bar,

 bookmarks tool bar.i cannot seen minimize/maximize/close buttons.

 my theme setting in "human"theme.

That is the MENU bar you are talking about. I'm talking about the orange bar over menu bar:

Go to System > Preference > Appearance > Visual Effects > Select "None".

If the above does not work, press the keys ALT+F2
Execute this command: metacity --replace &

This will disable compiz and enable the default window manager (metacity).

 i used System > Preference > Appearance > Visual Effects > Select "None".

 but it is not working in normal&extra appearance? (maximum/minimum button missing)

Yes, because they need drivers for your graphics card to work properly.
Try System > Administration > Hardware Drivers and see if there is something to be installed :)
