Cannot enable "Extra" appereance preferences

How do i enable "Extra" in appearance preferences? It won't enable when i click on it.

My video card is nvidia gforce 440 {mx i think}.

which version of ubuntu are you using ?

I ended up swapping graphic cards and now it works fine thank anyway.
