Ubuntu 8.10 - GMA x3100 low fps

Asked by Vladislav Chapiuk

I have upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10 yesterday.. it's full release so i though it will be okay. My problem is about x3100 video card. My fps with glxgears is only 450. It's very strange because it was 800-900 on Ubuntu 8.04. Please help me with this issue, it's very important for me. Thank u.

Have you tried disabling it first?

sudo apt-get install compiz-switch
sudo metacity --replace

Once system is back to normal then tried this:

sudo compiz --replace ccp & /usr/bin/emerald --replace &

Good luck

Does it make sense to report this as "bug" rather than "question" to speed up fix release?

Can you help with this problem?
