window decoration with Compiz on Xubuntu

Asked by benjamin

After installing Compiz on Xubuntu, the default window-decorator is overriden by gtk-window-decorator. The latter replaces the default theme "Greybird" with "Adwaita". I would like to be able to modify the window decoration, but now the XFCE settings don't apply. Using dconf-editor at org.gnome.desktop.interface, I tried to change the gtk-theme value from Adwaita to Greybird (after installing a Gtk greybird theme in ~/.themes), but no changes either.

How can I change the window decoration?
Why is Compiz so poorly integrated with XFCE?

Thanks
