Resizing grab points are too small to be easily used.

Asked by Charles Pergiel

Trying to adjust the size of a window by grabbing the edge is very difficult, especially if you are using one of these stupid trackball things. You have to be right on the line to grab it. One pixel off, and oh, you must not really want to resize that window. Stupid computer, give me a break, it's a friggin trackball.

yes, that is a nuisance. you can change the theme to one that has a bigger border.

just right click on the desktop, then select change background, then click the theme tab.

It should just work. You shouldn't need to customize it to make is usable.

It works fine for me, without customization, on 3D Unity and unity-2d in Oneiric. My mouse pointer does not have to be on one specific row or column of pixels, to resize. But if this is a systematic problem for multiple users, it should definitely be reported as a bug (please search first to see if it already has).

Please read https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs carefully before reporting this or other bugs in Ubuntu.

After reporting or finding a bug for this, please link the bug and this question to each other using the "Link existing bug" link on this question page.

Now I wonder if this is related to the other screen problems I have. I will wait and see how the others turn out. If I can get them fixed, this one may go away all by itself.

Resizing seems to be working better. Maybe an update fixed it? Maybe the planets are in alignment? Whatever, it's gone, only to be replace six new annoyances. Joy!
