disable compiz from terminal

i activated the desktop cube and rotate effects in ubuntu 11.04 and after that the desktop is just showing the wallpaper and i am not able to rotate the cube or get the effects i want to disable it and load the regular compiz settings how do it do it

You don't need to do anything from the Terminal. Just select "Ubuntu Classic" or "Ubuntu Classic (no effects)" as your session type on the graphical login screen (the drop-down menu for this is available in the horizontal bar at the bottom of the screen, after you have specified your username, while you are being prompted for your password). Then you can log in to a functional classic desktop, and use that to undo the configuration changes you had made.
