Taskbar issues in Ubuntu Classic

Asked by Nicolás R Giraldez

I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04. I prefer to use the classic GNOME desktop so I log on with that option.
I found really annoying that if I drag a file to a folder in the taskbar (a folder which may be minimized or behind other windows), focus doesn't change so I can't drop it in the desired folder. The plus sign appears so the only thing I can do is add the file to the taskbar.
In Ubuntu 10.10, to add a link to the file I could drop it on an empty space in the taskbar, but when i dragged it to a folder, the arrow sign showed up, focus changed to that folder and I could drop it there.
Also, I can't change the order of the windows in the taskbar.
Both issues only happen when running Compiz, when running Metacity the taskbar works normally.

If you right click a launcher, you can select "add to panel"

otherwise I suggest you run:

ubuntu-bug compiz

and log a bug

Can you help with this problem?
