cube not turning 10.10

Asked by Neil

hi all
I can nit get cube to turn in 10.10.
can some on please help.
I tried this
 alt+F2 and type gconf-editor

Using the plus signs "+", click "apps", then "compiz", then "plugins", then "vpswitch", then "allscreen", and finally click on "options".

On the right side find "next_button" (probably says Disabled right now), edit it to say "Button5"

Then find "prev_button" edit it to say "Button4"
but in 10.10 there is no vpswitch

any ideas?
Thank
Neil

hi
yes it is all enabled, if I hold down the wheel button on the mouse it will rotate if I move the mouse around but it will not spin rolling the wheel.
had the same problem in 9.10 & 10.04 but I us the above to fix it. but now I can even do that.
as I said there in no vpswitch there to turn it no.

Neil

you can use CTRL+ALT+Cursor key left / right and it will do it. I am not aware of any mousewheel stuff with compiz, mainly because I haven't used the (worthless to me) cube in years.

You could log a bug.

You have to register the compiz-vpswitch.schema. You can find the file as well as a small howto in german at:
