Why is compiz so broken in Jaunty?

Asked by Roland (Rolandixor) Taylor

I'm trying to get back my old unsupported plugins on Jaunty because I had a whole truck load of them disappear, and now some won't allow themselves to be enabled (I know this is because of different API versions). Why is this the case? Is anyone even looking to work on this? Not everyone (I can BTW) can go and download/compile the git version.

I have the exact same problem. None of the effects included in the unsupported plugins work under Jaunty.

I hope that this problem can be fixed in the official release later this week.

Maybe you'll get a hint from changelog or bug section, good luck.
